"you always knew how to push my buttons..."

Listening to: Taylor Swift - I Wish You Would

---------

So, I'm totally slacking on these blog posts that I promised you guys. It was such a perfect day to work on them too since we had a so-called "blizzard" here in New York and actually had a day off from work. Instead, I ate some snacks, watched some TV with my mom and sisters, and ate more snacks. Haha. Now, I'm just listening to Taylor Swift and blogging. To be honest, all these Taylor songs are getting me pumped for her concert in July (floor seats, baby!!)! Her album, 1989, has been on repeat since I got her CD in October and being a long time fan of hers, I just can't wait to see her perform her songs live! Did I mention that I also got her album on vinyl?

I got the Crosley CR66 Rochester 5 in 1 Entertainment Center for Christmas from my awesome brother (ain't she a beauty?) and I knew that was one of the vinyls I wanted to get, along with The 1975 album.

Anyway, did you guys notice anything different? Oh, you didn't notice my new color change? Just kidding. Haha. Yeahh, I thought it was about time I changed it up a bit. New year, new look. I think a more simplistic look is what I need. I don't know if it's because it's winter, but I'm kind of over the whole bright colors look. I'm liking it so far. Who knows...I may end up changing it again come summertime. You know me and my fickle mind. I'm also working on a couple of things to add to this site, so from time to time, you'll notice things changing around.

Well, tomorrow I go back to work. I can't wait! (*sarcasm) So, I better get to bed. Night all!

2015.

Listening to:  Phoenix - Lasso

---------

Oh hey! Happy New Year!

Remember me? Did I ever mention that I get distracted easily? Well, that's what happened to me. Summer came around and the sun, warm weather, awesome company, and a summer fling may or may not have distracted me a bit. So, I'm sorry for the long hiatus. I'm back now and hopefully better than ever!! :)

Now, let's look back a bit. I wrote out my resolutions last year, and I'm embarrassed to report that I did not complete all of it. I started off so strong too! I was blogging more, I read a book every month and even wrote blog posts on them. I also took more pictures! But I just slacked off around summertime and never got back on it. So disappointing. However, I did enjoy my summer and the other half of 2014 a lot. I've opened myself up to so many things and with that, I was able to meet new people and experience a lot more than my closed self would have.

I'm in the process of working on a new layout and I'm writing new resolutions that hopefully will be easy enough to accomplish for the year. I also have some posts regarding my Bucket List coming your way soon! I'm really excited to share them with you. I'm just hoping it won't take me a billion years to finish those posts cause apparently, I love to analyze everything I do. Haha.

Well, I've been cleaning and reorganizing my room all day and I should really finish. See you guys real soon!

jets game.

So, I finally got to see my first NFL game yesterday!! I originally wrote down that I wanted to watch a New York Giants game on my Bucket List, but my friend Cory scored some really great tickets to a New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears game. He asked me and some other friends to go and of course I couldn't pass it up!

We left for the stadium pretty early because they wanted to tailgate a little bit before the game. That was also my first time tailgating (I totally should put that on my list and cross it off!!) and it was pretty fun. We didn't go crazy and bring a grill or anything. We just had some beer and just hung out for a bit. After a couple of beers, we decided to go in.

Walking towards the entrances was pretty crazy. I've never felt that kind of energy before and I've been to more than a few Knicks games. The fans were loud, super energetic, and they were chanting all kinds of cheers. It was cool to see just how much spirit these Jets fans had and that was just going into the stadium. By the time we got to our seats (after getting our food and drinks), the game had already started. I have to say...our seats were pretty awesome! It was definitely nice being that close to the field especially since it was my first time watching! Throughout the game, the crowd continued with their cheers and I just couldn't help but chime in. =) It also got a bit chilly during the game, but it was nothing a cup of hot coffee couldn't fix. Now, if you follow football at all, you might know that the Jets aren't the best team in the league. They didn't win that game. It would have been nice if they did, but they didn't.

I still had a wonderful time! I definitely want to check out a Giants game next. I have a feeling it's gonna be just as awesome! Who's with me?!

book five.

Wow. It's been awhile. But guess what I did though?

I finished another book! Yay!!!

I read Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling.  I have to say, she is one of my favorite people right now. I've always loved her and her character on The Office and when I found out she has her own show called The Mindy Project, I knew I had to start watching it. I'm so glad I did cause it is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while. It's definitely on my favorite television shows list now. I think the great thing about her show is that I can totally relate to her character in more ways than one. Haha. I have even started to quote some of the lines from the show! I haven't quoted any shows like that since Friends and if you know me, I love me some Friends and will quote it any chance I get. Then I found out she has an autobiography out and of course, I bought it.

It pretty much talks about her life and some of the experiences she's gone through to get where she is now. She also adds some pictures of her past and present throughout the book, which, in my opinion, adds more humor to the book. She's just so great to me. I love her way of thinking and the way she explains things and situations. I don't know how she does it, but she has a knack for making everything hilarious. I really wish we were friends in real life. She totally would make life more entertaining. Haha. I do recommend this book, especially if you want something quick and easy to read. Makes a great beach book too. You'll find yourself laughing the whole way through.
