brokenhearted.

This past Monday, my family and I all lost a piece of our hearts.  Our beloved dog, Simba, passed away.  He was 11 years old and we've had him since he was only a little baby (at 6 months old). It's been about 5 days since he's been gone and I'm still in denial. The whole thing was so unexpected, which I think makes it so difficult for me and my family to deal with right now.

It's been so hard to be alone cause I burst into tears every time I am. I've actually been keeping my mom company in her room cause I end up just thinking about him if I'm by myself and I know how sad she is that he's no longer with us. I've gone to work these past few days expecting him to be there at the door to say goodbye to me or greet me, but he's not. I hate not hearing the little pitter patter of his paws walking around the house following my mom, his heavy breathing (hehe), and him just bursting into my room to say hi to me. He was such a great dog. He was so friendly, sweet, and seriously one of the cutest Pugs I've ever seen. I'm not just saying that either cause he was our dog, but he was really very handsome. He could have been a dog model. Haha. And everyone just loved him. I just hope he was as happy as he made us. I miss him so much.

Well, I think I'm just gonna end this here. I feel the tears coming...

I love you Simba Bimba...always & forever.

book one. (2015)

Reading: Seriously, I'm kidding by Ellen Degeneres

---------

Yes, I'm going to add this to my New Year's Resolutions once again. I really enjoy reading and last year, I also kind of enjoyed that thrill of trying to finish a book by the end of each month. I just wish I was able to complete the task of reading a book every month for the year. But hey, I'm happy I was at least able to read a decent amount of books last year.

For this month's book, I decided to read the book I got for Christmas from my cousin Aimee, which is Ellen's book, "Seriously, I'm Kidding." It was a great book to start the year off with. It was definitely a super easy read and had lots of funny moments...I mean why would it not have any funny parts? It's written by Ellen Degeneres herself and she's absolutely hilarious. I did think it was going to be a book about her life, just like Mindy Kaling's book, but I should have known that it wouldn't be since this is her third book (maybe I should have started with her first book...).  It was more like random thoughts of hers and funny little jokes and stories. It took me about two days to read the whole thing and it kept me pretty entertained. So, if you're looking for a book to bring on vacation or just need to do some light reading, this is one I would suggest you read.

Now, on to the next one.... :)

PS.
Happy Birthday Justin Timberlake! <3  Hahaha!

"you always knew how to push my buttons..."

Listening to: Taylor Swift - I Wish You Would

---------

So, I'm totally slacking on these blog posts that I promised you guys. It was such a perfect day to work on them too since we had a so-called "blizzard" here in New York and actually had a day off from work. Instead, I ate some snacks, watched some TV with my mom and sisters, and ate more snacks. Haha. Now, I'm just listening to Taylor Swift and blogging. To be honest, all these Taylor songs are getting me pumped for her concert in July (floor seats, baby!!)! Her album, 1989, has been on repeat since I got her CD in October and being a long time fan of hers, I just can't wait to see her perform her songs live! Did I mention that I also got her album on vinyl?

I got the Crosley CR66 Rochester 5 in 1 Entertainment Center for Christmas from my awesome brother (ain't she a beauty?) and I knew that was one of the vinyls I wanted to get, along with The 1975 album.

Anyway, did you guys notice anything different? Oh, you didn't notice my new color change? Just kidding. Haha. Yeahh, I thought it was about time I changed it up a bit. New year, new look. I think a more simplistic look is what I need. I don't know if it's because it's winter, but I'm kind of over the whole bright colors look. I'm liking it so far. Who knows...I may end up changing it again come summertime. You know me and my fickle mind. I'm also working on a couple of things to add to this site, so from time to time, you'll notice things changing around.

Well, tomorrow I go back to work. I can't wait! (*sarcasm) So, I better get to bed. Night all!

2015.

Listening to:  Phoenix - Lasso

---------

Oh hey! Happy New Year!

Remember me? Did I ever mention that I get distracted easily? Well, that's what happened to me. Summer came around and the sun, warm weather, awesome company, and a summer fling may or may not have distracted me a bit. So, I'm sorry for the long hiatus. I'm back now and hopefully better than ever!! :)

Now, let's look back a bit. I wrote out my resolutions last year, and I'm embarrassed to report that I did not complete all of it. I started off so strong too! I was blogging more, I read a book every month and even wrote blog posts on them. I also took more pictures! But I just slacked off around summertime and never got back on it. So disappointing. However, I did enjoy my summer and the other half of 2014 a lot. I've opened myself up to so many things and with that, I was able to meet new people and experience a lot more than my closed self would have.

I'm in the process of working on a new layout and I'm writing new resolutions that hopefully will be easy enough to accomplish for the year. I also have some posts regarding my Bucket List coming your way soon! I'm really excited to share them with you. I'm just hoping it won't take me a billion years to finish those posts cause apparently, I love to analyze everything I do. Haha.

Well, I've been cleaning and reorganizing my room all day and I should really finish. See you guys real soon!
