So, I finally got to see my first NFL game yesterday!! I originally wrote down that I wanted to watch a New York Giants game on my Bucket List, but my friend Cory scored some really great tickets to a New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears game. He asked me and some other friends to go and of course I couldn't pass it up!
We left for the stadium pretty early because they wanted to tailgate a little bit before the game. That was also my first time tailgating (I totally should put that on my list and cross it off!!) and it was pretty fun. We didn't go crazy and bring a grill or anything. We just had some beer and just hung out for a bit. After a couple of beers, we decided to go in.
Walking towards the entrances was pretty crazy. I've never felt that kind of energy before and I've been to more than a few Knicks games. The fans were loud, super energetic, and they were chanting all kinds of cheers. It was cool to see just how much spirit these Jets fans had and that was just going into the stadium. By the time we got to our seats (after getting our food and drinks), the game had already started. I have to say...our seats were pretty awesome! It was definitely nice being that close to the field especially since it was my first time watching! Throughout the game, the crowd continued with their cheers and I just couldn't help but chime in. =) It also got a bit chilly during the game, but it was nothing a cup of hot coffee couldn't fix. Now, if you follow football at all, you might know that the Jets aren't the best team in the league. They didn't win that game. It would have been nice if they did, but they didn't.
I still had a wonderful time! I definitely want to check out a Giants game next. I have a feeling it's gonna be just as awesome! Who's with me?!

book five.
Wow. It's been awhile. But guess what I did though?
I finished another book! Yay!!!
I read Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling. I have to say, she is one of my favorite people right now. I've always loved her and her character on The Office and when I found out she has her own show called The Mindy Project, I knew I had to start watching it. I'm so glad I did cause it is one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while. It's definitely on my favorite television shows list now. I think the great thing about her show is that I can totally relate to her character in more ways than one. Haha. I have even started to quote some of the lines from the show! I haven't quoted any shows like that since Friends and if you know me, I love me some Friends and will quote it any chance I get. Then I found out she has an autobiography out and of course, I bought it.
It pretty much talks about her life and some of the experiences she's gone through to get where she is now. She also adds some pictures of her past and present throughout the book, which, in my opinion, adds more humor to the book. She's just so great to me. I love her way of thinking and the way she explains things and situations. I don't know how she does it, but she has a knack for making everything hilarious. I really wish we were friends in real life. She totally would make life more entertaining. Haha. I do recommend this book, especially if you want something quick and easy to read. Makes a great beach book too. You'll find yourself laughing the whole way through.

book four.
FAIL. Well, sort of.
So, last month I said that I'd finish Pride & Prejudice and also read another for book four. Well, I must admit I failed once again with book three. I don't know what it is about that book, but I could not get myself to finish it. I don't know if it's because I know how it ends already or because it's just way too long for me, but I tried and decided to just be lazy.
Boy, was I right! This was my first mystery novel and I really enjoyed it. I was afraid it was going to be scary for me and I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, but it actually wasn't that bad. It's such a crazy story! I don't want to give too much away, but here's a quick synopsis....

As the end of the month neared, on the 26th to be exact, I again had that sudden realization that I should follow through on my resolutions. Just because I failed the previous month, doesn't mean I shouldn't let it affect how I will be the rest of the year. I decided to pick up yet another book that I had laying around and told myself to just power through it. That book was And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. It was highly recommended by my sister, Pamela, so I knew it was going to be good. She has pretty good taste when it comes to books. :)

Ten people are summoned to an island for different reasons. Then each of them are murdered one by one in the exact same way as the characters of a nursery rhyme.
C-R-A-Z-Y!
Not only are the murders crazy, but the revelation of the murderer and that person's story will blow your mind. It makes you think (and scared of) how smart some people really are and the things they can get away with.
Well, I also recommend this book, especially if you love yourself a good mystery. Once you start reading, you won't want to put it down. That's what happened to me. Haha.

fitness friday.
I know this is super TMI, but it's that time of the month for me and let's just say my mood swings have been C-R-A-Z-Y! I don't know what's different this month, but I have been so off lately. I was actually feeling pretty ok on Monday and decided that I would run as soon as I got home from work. I got on the treadmill and ran for only half a mile! Ugh...so terrible. It also didn't help that my Asthma was acting up big time due to allergies. I did power walk for another half a mile on a high incline and felt somewhat accomplished when I finished. However, I slacked off the rest of the week. I'm so sad and disappointed with myself. I definitely need to redeem myself next week.
Eating habit? Still the same, but with a bit more chocolate this week. Hey, don't judge me. I'm a girl and like I said, it's that time of the month for me. I need my sweets! Haha. Sorry I had nothing great to report this week. I'm going to try to move forward from this and make it better next week!
