christmas.

Since Christmas is just right around the corner, I've been trying to get into the spirit of things. I've been trying to listen to Christmas songs and trying to get my shopping done too, but I feel like it won't really feel like Christmas unless I watch certain movies. You're probably thinking I'm going to list the traditional Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, or A Charlie Brown Christmas, but no. These are the movies I love watching this time of year....

How can people not love Elf?! I think this movie is just hilarious and Will Ferrell is so perfect for that role! I can't even tell you how many calories I lose from laughing when I watch this movie. It's just so funny. It really just gets me in a Christmassy mood.

Now these two movies are classic to me. I've loved these movies ever since I was little. Macaulay Culkin is just so darn cute in them and his character Kevin is just so clever! I remember being so amazed at all the booby traps he created. I even wanted that Talkboy from Home Alone 2...I mean the pink Talkgirl. My cousin got the Talkboy and I was so jealous! Haha.

And the last movie that always gets me in the mood is While You Were Sleeping. I ABSOLUTELY love this movie. It's definitely one of my top favorite movies. The storyline is just perfect to me. It's romantic and funny...my two favorite elements for a movie. Also, the characters in it are so funny. If you haven't seen it, go rent it RIGHT NOW. I highly recommend it.

Anyway, I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping and I'm so excited to finish cause it means I can start wrapping! I love wrapping! I feel like this is the only time I get to wrap gifts. I usually just put gifts in gift bags for birthdays and other occasions, so this is my time to get really festive and creative! I have a new color theme this year too and I'm just happy that I get to wrap soon. I have to buy presents for like 3 more people and I'll be all set. My goal is to finish all of it by Saturday cause on Sunday I'm going to be watching the New York Knicks scrimmage at MSG!! My sister Peejay and I got so lucky and scored two free tickets! I mean it's not an official game, but hey, I don't mind cause I get to see Landry Fields again! Oh, and the other Knickerbockers too. Haha. Well, I'm gonna go. Gotta wake up early tomorrow. I'll be sure to update you guys with some pictures soon. =)

talent.

I believe there are many talented people in this world and I happen to be SUPER close to one of those people. That person is my sister Pamela. She is super talented, just like many of my family members. There's some kind of creativity gene that runs through my family and it's a little upsetting that it skipped me, but hey, I think I may be adopted. Just kidding about the being adopted part. Haha. There are so many different types of artists in my family and I'm super jealous. I really should have explored my artistic side when I was growing up. Oh well. Haha.

Anyway, the purpose of this blog is to share one of my sister's creations with you all. She is an avid knitter/crocheter and the things she comes up with is pretty awesome. Just like this hat!

How great is that?! She also makes other types of hats for adults and kids, scarves, and gloves! If you want to see more of her stuff, check out her own blog here or if you want to buy one of her creations, check out her Etsy site here!

Well, I need to get started on my Christmas (online) shopping so I'm going to end it here. My other sister Peejay started already and she got me kind of jealous. Haha.

We'll chat some more soon, k? Happy December to everyone! =)
