heart walk.

I'm pretty sure you guys have noticed that I haven't talked about the progress of any of my work outs. Well, that is because it has not progressed at all. Haha. I was so motivated a few months ago and I have no clue how I lost that motivation.

It was so beautiful out today. Perfect summer weather. Definitely hit me big time how gross I look without layers and layers of clothes. Haha. Today was the first day I didn't wear a jacket and for some reason, I felt so awkward without one. I realized today is the first time I couldn't hide my gross big, beer belly looking stomach and flabby arms. As I walked around CVS after work, I tried so hard to hide my belly with my bag. It's so bad and I looked so awkward. I look so unhealthy and I'm so disappointed in myself. I hate how I've let myself go.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

I actually just finished working out and I decided that in order to keep up with this sudden motivation, I made a goal for myself. Every year my whole family and I participate in the American Heart Association Tri-County Heart Walk in honor of my cousin Joyce. We formed our team Re:Joyce back in 2004 and we've been doing the walk ever since. Every year, I walk the 3 miles around Lake Sebago Beach, while my sister or cousins run the whole thing. This year, my goal is to be able to run it with them. My asthma has been controlled for the past couple of years now and it's time I stop using that as an excuse for running it. I know May is just around the corner, but it's not (never) too late to start preparing for it. So, I'm going to start working out and running more. And after this Heart Walk is all over with, I'm going to try to stick to it. I'll let you know how I do.Wish me luck! Haha. =)

vanessa hudgens.

So, have you noticed anything? Well, I totally decided to scrap the whole April Photo A Day Challenge. Who am I kidding? It was already a struggle trying to take photos at special occasions...what makes you think I'd try to take one everyday for my blog? Haha.

Anyway, I haven't done a post like this in a while. So, today I'd like to feature another one of my fave celebs who has awesome taste in clothes...Vanessa Hudgens. Ever since her break out role as Gabriella in High School Musical, she was featured in many of my favorite celebrity blogs and I immediately was drawn towards her unique sense of style. Some of the pieces you see her, you definitely would not see me in, but I think they're super cute. Maybe in another lifetime and another body, I would probably try and attempt to wear them they way she has. Haha.

Isn't she just cute? I definitely love that floral skirt in that last photo. Man, I so wanna shop right now! I need some new Spring looks! Let's all go! Haha.

april photo a day - day one, day two, day three & day four.

Yes, I know I'm like four days late with this challenge, but hey, better late than never right? Haha.

Day one.

This is a reflection of me wearing my New York Knicks St. Patrick's Day edition jersey. Absolutely love the color and it's the jersey of one of my favorite players on the team right now, Amare Stoudemire. He struggled for a little bit in the beginning of this season, but he eventually got his groove back. However, he recently got injured and I'm upset that there's that possibility that he may be out for the rest of the season...just like Jeremy Lin. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how both players heal. Go Knicks!

Day two.

So, red is my favorite color and I just love wearing nail polish, especially red nail polish. I think it has a classic look to it and you can practically wear it all year round. One day I went to my favorite store in the whole wide world, Target, and found this really cute Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail polish strips in red with black lace pattern and thought it would look super cute on my ring finger. I've seen people wear all kinds of patterns on all 10 fingers and I'm not too sure how I really feel about it. Some of them I think look a little tacky...no offense to anyone who likes them. It's just not for me. Anyway, I then decided to just paint the rest with this awesome Essie color called Red Label. It matched perfectly to red on the nail strips and I thought it looked cute. It wasn't too flashy for me. I thought it came out pretty good.

Day three.

My stack of junk mail just waiting to be shredded. Haha. I love getting mail (personal ones, not junk mails), but we all know how times have changed. We now have emails and some people just won't pay that $.45 for a stamp when they can easily send it electronically for free. I think that's one of the many reasons I love Christmas season. I know that at least every week in December, there will be a Christmas card sent to my house and I just love opening them up and seeing what cute pictures they ended up putting on their cards. My best friend Lyssa was the only person who used to send me personal mails and I loved receiving them and reading them. I just think that's it more personal when you see a handwritten letter. It definitely makes me smile. Maybe I'll send her one this week. I know she reads my blog, so hopefully I'll be able to send it before she reads this. Haha.

Day four.

This little guy is that someone who makes me happy. I mean look at that face? How can he not make you smile? I honestly can't believe how much I love this dog. It's crazy how pets have that affect on people. They are seriously one of the best companions ever.

instagram.

So, I'm a little annoyed at how iPhone users are mad that Instagram has finally made its way to Android phones. I don't see what the big deal is really. It's a photo sharing application just like Photobucket or Picasa. What makes it any different from those? Is it the filters that make it different? Cause I know for a fact there are so many other applications on both phones that can easily do the same thing. And I think the most annoying thing of it all is that those same iPhone users will share that same photo on Twitter, Facebook, or on Tumblr, but through Instagram. So, can someone please explain to me why it is that important that the application should remain on the iPhone, especially if you're just going to post it up on some other social media outlet that have the same followers looking at it? It just does not make any sense to me. It's sad to think that people are becoming more and more selfish everyday....especially over something petty like this. You didn't see Android users complaining this much that Apple decided to add a notifications bar at the top of the screen or even when ShopSavvy (an application that lets you scan bar codes off of products and tell you price and where you can buy it) decided to be available for iPhones (I remember having the G1 and my friend, who had an iPhone, didn't even have an app like that).

I think people just need to realize that a phone is a phone. They will have all the same/similar features, but are just made by different companies. And this Instagram company just wants to make some money. I mean what company doesn't? It's not like you paid for that application anyway. It's free. So please, enough with the comparing of the iPhone to Andriod phones. They're pretty much the same...it's just a matter of preference. Options are a good thing, people.

I'm pretty sure I'll have some iPhone users text me soon enough. Haha.
