halloween.

Was it just me or was there a major decrease on the number of trick or treaters this year? I swear I only had like 15 kids come to the door. Last year I know we definitely had more than that. I just thought it was totally weird. I actually fell asleep waiting for kids to knock on the door and I fell asleep around 7:45! This really makes me angry because now I'M the one who has to finish all that candy I bought! Haha! I thought I was actually doing well at trying to stay away from candy and other types of junk. I bet you I'll soon have a cavity and I'll be back at the dentist office getting a cavity filled. *crossing fingers. I really hope not! I hope I don't gain any of the weight I've lost either! Haha! I really need to start my Zumba again. Yes, I've stopped. School sucks and it takes over my life. I hate that. Anyway.....

I wanted to share with you all what my little Simba was for Halloween! My mom dressed him up and he was all ready to greet the trick or treaters! Sadly, only like 15 kids saw him. It's ok though! I know he enjoyed it!

I'm totally kidding. Look how angry he looks!!! Haha! He's such an old man, but I love him to pieces!
He was the best looking pumpkin in the patch!

It was cute cause my sister Peejay's lovely dogs, Kate and Bella, also got to dress up!

This is Katie the Lady Bug! (She's not photogenic according to Peejay! I know you're reading this! Haha!)

And Bella the Bumble Bee!! She has wings and all! Awww...

How cute are all three of them?! I just love them all! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and hope your week is going well! This week for me has actually been really slow, but I'm kind of liking it a little bit. I miss being at work and this way when I'm there, I can actually, somewhat, enjoy it. For those who don't know, I love my job. I'm an Orthodontic Assistant and I just love what I do! Braces are the best! I also get to work with some cool gals such as my two awesome sisters Pamela, Peejay, and my younger cousin Macy! People always ask me if it's hard working with family, but to be honest, it actually isn't for me. I feel like we've all grown closer together, which I love! I feel we can definitely talk about everything and anything! I think the only down side to working together is taking days off especially when there's a big family event. Haha! But it's actually cool because it somehow always works out where all of us can take off. =) Man...I hope I just didn't jinx myself!

Well I shall get some rest now. I have work in the morning and class in the evening. Oh joy! Until next time!!

busy bee.

Hey guys!

It's only Monday, but I'm already stressed out! So much going through my head and that doesn't even include school work I have to do! So annoying. I just hope I'm able to get through this week. I need to sleep badly. I'm starting to look scary with these dark circles under my eyes, but I guess that's okay since Halloween is just right around the corner! =P

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly post a picture and let you know I will be updating soon. Hopefully by this weekend and I promise to put something somewhat interesting. Haha. I hope you guys have a wonderful week and try not to get stressed out like me!!

pumpkins!

School's definitely kicking my butt right now! The work load in unbelievable and I have a professor that doesn't help at all! But it will all be ok! I am so very determined to finish this semester off, pass all of my classes, and walk at the graduation ceremony! *crossing fingers* =)

So, last weekend my dearest friend Sheila invited me and my other best friend Lyssa to go pumpkin picking with her and her son Jayson. To be perfectly honest, I had never gone pumpkin picking as a child. Yes, I was deprived, but it's ok! I understood that my parents were super busy trying to make ends meet for my family so no hard feelings here! I love my parents! <3 So, anyway, of course I said yes! I was so excited and I couldn't have asked for a better weather too! It was an awesome fall day! It was warm with a nice breeze. The sun definitely came out to play that day! Haha. When we were done picking out pumpkins, we went back to Sheila's house and had a Boston Market picnic in her backyard and was only able to carve one of the pumpkins. We were so exhausted and stuffed from our lunch! Here are some pictures!

The weather was so great that day!

Lyssa and Jayson. So cute! I didn't get a picture with him. =(

Me and my bestest girls. Love them so much!

And our carved pumpkin! Sheila's such a great artist that she didn't need to use any stencils!

In the next couple of weeks, I plan to go apple picking and go on a hayride since we didn't have time that day. All of these are actually a part of my birthday list. I plan to do 25 things I've never done before my 25th birthday! On one of my next posts, I'll try to post up my list. I'm a little hesitant cause I've only done like 5 things on it. It's so sad! Haha. I need to get moving! Well I hope you guys have a lovely weekend! It's starting to get cooler now so everyone stay warm!

a letter to my other brother.

Dear Jay-R,

Hi there. How are you doing up there? I'm sure you're doing so well and not causing any trouble, right? Just kidding. I just wanted to let you know how much we all miss you. Your absence has been really hard on a lot of people, but I know everyone is doing their best to put on a brave face.

Not a day goes by when I don't think about you and the way you were always able to make me laugh with your jokes...especially your Family Guy ones. I must say you really do remind me of Peter Griffin. Haha. Well, you were always so good with that. If someone was down, you were always able to make them smile with the quickness. You were always so happy, energetic, and so positive, something that a lot of people in this world lack. You were the life of any party! Parties or little get togethers are definitely not the same. It's still hard to believe that it's been a year and it's so sad that this world will miss out on such an amazing and caring person.

I can still remember the last night I saw you. We all went to get ice cream and I specifically wanted some Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream. We rushed over to the Haagen Dazs on Central Avenue and made it just in time before they closed...you know that dreaded 10 o'clock. You and Eric went down and got it while we waited in the car. We then went and hung out at Dunkin Donuts until like 2 in the morning just talking. I even got to take your last picture. I remember being so happy that night. Little did I know I would be so sad the next day. If I had known what was to come, I would have gave you a big hug and said goodbye properly. I can still see you walking away in my head and I really regret not being able to tell you I love you and how much I've appreciated everything you've done for me. You have no idea how thankful I am to have had someone so wonderful in my life...even if it was for a short time. You are and will always be a part of our family.

Please continue to watch over us...especially Peejay. She loves you and misses you so much. She definitely lost a piece of her heart when she lost you. I think we all did. We miss you very much. Continue to rest in peace Jay-R. You will never be forgotten. I love you.

Love Always,
Phoebe
